WHAT THIS IS
This is an installable web app (PWA)
Installed Oralion gets its own Home Screen icon and standalone window, while remaining a secure HTTPS web app. It needs no app-store package and does not create a separate account or duplicate your data.
Installation does not make transcription work offline. Speech recognition, translation, rooms, and voice still require a stable connection. Offline, Oralion shows a clear connection notice rather than replaying stale captions.

AFTER INSTALLATION
Four things to know
You remain in control of permissions
Microphone or screen/tab-audio permission is requested only when you start a broadcast and choose that source.
Android includes quick shortcuts
On supported Android launchers, hold the Oralion icon to jump directly to Broadcast or Viewer.
Removing the icon does not cancel billing
Removing the web app only deletes the launcher icon; it does not delete your account, Credits, or cancel a paid plan.
No push notifications for now
Oralion currently sends no marketing or room push notifications. Installation is simply a faster way to open it.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Why can't iPhone install in one tap?
This is a Safari platform restriction, not an Oralion error. A website cannot operate the Share menu or approve Home Screen installation for you.
Does it work offline after installation?
No. Real-time transcription, translation, and rooms require a connection. The app shows a clear offline page; tap Reconnect after your network returns.
Will installation use much storage or save audio?
No. The web app keeps only small launch icons and the offline notice. Installation does not download or cache rooms, account data, audio, or live captions.
What happens when I change phones?
Repeat the installation steps on the new phone and sign in to your existing Oralion account. Your plan and Credits belong to the account, not the old icon.
