These Terms explain your rights and responsibilities when using Oralion's real-time transcription, translation, voice, noise reduction, and related services.
Effective and last updated: July 26, 2026
BEFORE YOU USE ORALION
Get consent first. Before using a microphone, sharing tab or window audio, recording, transcribing, translating, reading content aloud, or displaying captions, you are responsible for giving all required notices and obtaining all necessary consent.
AI can make mistakes. Transcription, translation, speaker identification, voice, and noise-reduction results may be incomplete, inaccurate, or delayed and must not be the sole basis for medical, legal, financial, emergency, or other high-risk decisions.
Subscriptions renew automatically. Unless you cancel before the next billing period, a paid subscription renews for the period and price shown at checkout; after cancellation, access normally continues through the end of the current period.
1 · Agreement and eligibility
These Terms are a binding agreement between you and the operator of the Oralion service. By accessing or using Oralion, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy & Security Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
You must be at least 18, or the legal age to enter a contract where you live. Otherwise, a parent or legal guardian must agree and supervise your use. If you use Oralion for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it to these Terms.
Oralion provides real-time speech transcription, translation, caption rooms, text-to-speech, background noise reduction, and related features. Some features rely on automated models and third-party services; results are affected by accent, pace, terminology, language, device, network, and background noise.
We do not guarantee that any AI output is complete, accurate, timely, or fit for a particular purpose. Verify important content before acting. Where an error could affect health, safety, legal rights, finances, accessibility, or emergency response, arrange qualified human support, professional advice, and a working backup.
3 · Recording, consent, and rooms
Rules for recording, interception, transcription, biometrics, workplace monitoring, confidential information, and personal data differ by location. Because you decide when audio and captions are captured, processed, and shared, you must ensure that you have lawful authority, provide required notices, and obtain all necessary consent from speakers, participants, and other rights holders before starting.
Anyone with a room code or link may be able to join. For non-public content, use a password, share access only with appropriate people, and end the room after use. The speaker or room creator is responsible for room settings, participant management, distribution, and broadcast content.
4 · Accounts and security
You must provide accurate information, protect your login credentials and account access, and are responsible for activity under your account. Do not share or resell a personal account, or use multiple accounts, devices, network addresses, or automation to evade trials, free allowances, usage limits, or security controls.
Contact us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use. We may require identity verification or reset security information to protect you, other users, and the service.
5 · Acceptable use
You must not use Oralion to do or assist with any of the following:
unlawful recording, interception, surveillance, harassment, discrimination, fraud, threats, or infringement of privacy, copyright, or other rights;
uploading or transmitting malware or unlawful content, or attempting unauthorized access to accounts, rooms, systems, models, keys, or networks;
interfering with the service, denial-of-service attacks, resource abuse, bulk automated requests, scraping non-public data, or disrupting others' normal use;
bypassing controls, copying or extracting core service components, reverse engineering, or reselling, renting, white-labeling, or operating a competing service with Oralion without written permission.
The restrictions above do not prohibit interoperability or security research to the extent expressly allowed by law and not waivable by contract, provided you avoid harm and first report findings responsibly through our contact email.
6 · Your content and processing
You retain rights in the audio, text, captions, terminology, and other content you provide or create. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide permission, limited to the service period and only as necessary to provide, maintain, and protect the features you use. This does not transfer ownership of your content.
You represent that you have the right to provide and process that content. Oralion is not an archival or transcript-storage service. Unless a feature expressly says otherwise, review, export, and back up anything you need to keep. See the Privacy & Security Policy for data flows, retention, and deletion.
7 · Plans, Credits, and fair use
Plan features, allowances, prices, and billing periods are those shown on the Pricing page and checkout page at the time of purchase. Credits measure service usage; they are not currency, deposits, securities, or transferable property and cannot be redeemed for cash or moved to another account unless expressly stated.
Subscription allowances generally reset monthly, while Voice allowances may reset on the period shown. Credit packs marked permanent generally do not expire while the account and service remain active. We may reverse corresponding Credits after a refund, chargeback, fraud, abuse, mistaken issuance, or where required by law.
"Unlimited" means normal human use subject to fair-use controls, not infinite computing capacity or concurrency. We may apply reasonable rate, concurrency, security, and anti-abuse limits. If unusual usage affects stability, we will, where practicable, contact you and help adjust usage first. Free or trial offerings may be changed or withdrawn with reasonable notice.
8 · Payment, renewal, and cancellation
Paid transactions are processed by Lemon Squeezy as Merchant of Record. You must also agree to its applicable checkout terms. The actual billing currency, taxes, payment method, and total price are shown at checkout.
Unless canceled before the next billing date, subscriptions automatically renew for the same period and charge the active payment method. You can manage or cancel a subscription through the customer portal in your account. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current paid period, with access continuing until then. Canceling a subscription and deleting an account are separate actions.
A failed payment, refund, or chargeback may result in a plan downgrade, suspended features, or reversed allowances. If a subscription price changes, we will provide advance notice as required by law and where reasonably practicable. The new price takes effect in the later billing period stated in the notice, and you may cancel before then.
9 · Refunds and consumer rights
Refund requests are handled under the Lemon Squeezy/payment-provider policy disclosed at checkout and applicable law. Unless mandatory law provides otherwise or we separately promise a refund, digital services already supplied, consumed allowances, and completed current-period charges are not guaranteed to be refundable.
These Terms do not exclude, restrict, or replace consumer rights that cannot lawfully be waived where you live, including applicable withdrawal, cancellation, statutory warranty, or refund rights. Mandatory law controls if it conflicts with these Terms.
10 · Intellectual property
Except for your content and third-party materials, Oralion's software, website, interface, design, trademarks, logos, documentation, and related technology are owned by us or our licensors. While complying with these Terms, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable right to use them only through the service as intended.
You may voluntarily provide suggestions or feedback. We may use that feedback without compensation or confidentiality obligations to improve the service, but this does not give us ownership of personal content or confidential information contained in it.
11 · Third-party services
Oralion uses third-party speech/AI processing, payment, hosting, network relay, and other services, and may link to third-party sites. Their services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We exercise reasonable care in selecting and managing providers but cannot control all of their conduct, policy changes, or outages.
12 · Service changes and availability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" and may be delayed, interrupted, or contain errors because of maintenance, updates, networks, devices, browsers, third-party providers, force majeure, or security events. We use reasonable efforts to maintain and repair it but do not promise uninterrupted operation, absolute security, compatibility with every device, or permanent retention of any feature.
We may add, change, or discontinue features. If a change materially and adversely affects a core paid-plan feature, we will provide advance notice where reasonably practicable and legally required, together with any remedy required by law.
13 · Suspension and termination
You may stop using the service at any time and may cancel a subscription or request account deletion through account features. We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access for a material breach, non-payment, security risk, suspected fraud or abuse, risk to others or the service, or where required by law. Where circumstances allow, we will give notice and a reasonable opportunity to cure first.
After termination, your right to use the service ends. Payment obligations, intellectual property, liability limits, indemnity, governing law, and general provisions that by nature should survive will remain effective. Data deletion follows the Privacy & Security Policy and legal retention duties.
14 · Warranties and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties not expressly stated in these Terms, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, AI-output accuracy, or uninterrupted service. You are responsible for deciding whether the service fits your use case and for keeping important data and backups.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential loss, or lost profits, data, goodwill, or business interruption. Oralion's aggregate liability for all service-related claims is limited to the amount you actually paid to Oralion during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
These limits do not apply where liability cannot legally be limited, including intentional misconduct or gross negligence, fraud, legally non-excludable personal injury liability, and non-waivable consumer rights.
15 · Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you will indemnify Oralion for reasonable losses, liabilities, and costs arising from a third-party claim based on your unlawful recording or surveillance, content you had no right to process or share, infringement of third-party rights, or your material breach of these Terms. We will give reasonable notice and allow you to participate in the defense. Without your consent, we will not require you to accept a settlement admitting fault or imposing non-monetary obligations.
16 · Changes, governing law, and contact
We may update these Terms and will show the latest date on this page. For material changes, we will provide advance notice by website notice, account message, or email where legally required and reasonably practicable. Continuing to use the service after the effective date means accepting the revised Terms; if you disagree, stop using the service and cancel before then.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan), without affecting protections you have under mandatory local law. The parties will first try in good faith to resolve disputes through the contact email below; unresolved disputes will be handled by a court with jurisdiction under applicable law.
These Terms and incorporated policies form the complete agreement for the service. If one provision is invalid, the rest remain effective; failure to enforce a right is not a waiver. You may not assign this agreement without our consent. We may lawfully transfer it with the service or business, without reducing your legal rights.
